Police officers from Migosi Police Station have arrested five suspected gang members and recovered an assortment of weapons following a midnight intelligence-led raid on a gang hideout in Kisumu East Sub-County.

The operation, conducted on August 7, targeted a deserted house in the Corner “S” area of Kasule Sub-Location, Kolwa Central.

It had been identified as a known hideout for a criminal gang that has been terrorising residents of Lolwe, Mambo Leo, Ogango, and neighbouring areas at night.

Five individuals aged between 19 and 24 were arrested at the scene.

Officers recovered two knives, one sword, and two wooden clubs during the raid.

All five suspects were escorted to Migosi Police Station and are in custody pending processing and arraignment, while the recovered weapons have been secured as exhibits.
