Musician Stevo Simple Boy whose real name is Stephen Otieno Adera, has revealed that he and the mother of his child, Brenda, have been separated for the past four months following disagreements in their relationship. However he says plans to unveil their seven-month-old son, popularly known as Dragon Junior, remain on course.
Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna, the singer said the couple has lived apart since February and is still working through unresolved issues.
He disclosed that Brenda has agreed to bring the child for the much-publicized face reveal, giving him an opportunity to reunite with his son and introduce him to the public.
Simple Boy clarified that Brenda’s participation in the event should not be interpreted as a sign that the two have reconciled, noting that discussions regarding their relationship are still ongoing.
He added that he would respect Brenda’s choices and would not have a problem if she had already moved on during their time apart.
The musician also defended his controversial appeal for KSh5 million ahead of the unveiling. According to him, the money would help support Dragon Junior’s future needs and upbringing.
He further revealed that the child’s official name is Malike, although he remains popularly known as Dragon Junior among fans.
On matters of his personal life, Simple Boy spoke about his former partner Pritty Vishy expressing interest in facing her in Oga Obinna’s “Vurugu” challenge, saying he would be willing to step into the ring should the opportunity arise.
Beyond the headlines surrounding his family life, the musician assured fans that he remains focused on his career. He revealed that he has seven new songs in the making and is currently working on accompanying music videos.
Simple Boy urged his supporters to remain patient, promising that more content and hit songs are on the way in the coming months.
